IGF1R (Phospho-Tyr1161)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's cell-based ELISA kit provides a colorimetric method for measuring phosphorylation of insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF1R) at tyrosine residue 1161 in adherent cells. The kit is designed as a high-throughput, lysate-free assay for qualitative determination of relative IGF1R phosphorylation levels, and can be used to assess the effects of treatments, inhibitors, or activators on IGF1R signalling.

Reactivity is reported for Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells and detection at 450 nm. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format: IGF1R (Phospho-Tyr1161) is captured by phospho-specific primary antibodies, with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies binding the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyse the colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalisation, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used to determine cell density for further normalisation of absorbance values to cell amount.
