Human Zona pellucida sperm-binding protein 3 (ZP3) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human Zona pellucida sperm-binding protein 3 (ZP3). The kit uses a colorimetric detection method, is reactive with human specimens, and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It is intended for research use only.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.625-40ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.156ng/mL, an Intra-assay CV of 4.5% and an Inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Linearity was evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16). Mean recovery was 100% in serum (range 94-106%) and 102% in plasma (range 96-108%). The assay shows specificity for natural and recombinant human Zona pellucida sperm-binding protein 3 (UniProt P21754).

ZP3 is a glycoprotein component of the mammalian zona pellucida, the extracellular matrix surrounding the oocyte and early embryo, and is described in the literature as essential for sperm binding and zona matrix formation. The kit is positioned for research in developmental and reproductive biology, including studies of infertility, reproductive disorders and contraceptive development.
