Human ZnT-8/Zinc transporter 8 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human ZnT-8 (Zinc transporter 8) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. ZnT-8 is a zinc transporter expressed in pancreatic beta cells, where it regulates zinc homeostasis and supports insulin storage and secretion; dysregulation of the transporter has been associated with type 1 diabetes and other metabolic disorders, making it a useful biomarker for diabetes-related research.

According to the manufacturer datasheet, the assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a detection range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Reported linearity for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across dilution factors falls within the 82–101% range. Recovery in serum averages 93% (range 86–100%), in EDTA plasma averages 96% (range 86–105%), and in heparin plasma averages 98% (range 91–103%). The kit should be stored at 2–8°C and is stable for 12 months under those conditions.
