This complete ELISA kit from Assay Genie supports quantitative measurement of human zinc finger protein 71 (ZNF71) in serum or plasma samples for research use only, with reagents pre-formatted for 96 individual determinations including a standard curve plus unknowns and controls. ZNF71 is a Cys2-His2-type zinc finger transcription factor whose open reading frame carries an endogenous polyglutamine-encoding CAG repeat; peer-reviewed studies have linked abnormal expansions of this repeat to neuronal intranuclear inclusion disease (NIID) and other adult-onset neurodegenerative disorders, so protein-level quantification in patient-derived specimens is of strong interest to laboratories studying repeat-expansion biology and candidate disease biomarkers.

The kit is optimized for human serum or plasma prepared by standard venipuncture, clotting, and centrifugation protocols. Each shipment includes a capture-antibody-coated microplate, biotinylated detection reagent, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, lyophilized recombinant standards, wash buffer, assay diluent, chromogenic substrate, and stop solution in quantities sufficient for the full plate run. The microplate arrives pre-blocked and ready to equilibrate to room temperature before sample addition.

The protocol follows a conventional two-step immunoassay workflow: standards and samples are incubated in coated wells, washed, exposed to biotinylated detection antibody, washed again, developed with streptavidin-HRP and substrate, stopped, and read on a standard microplate spectrophotometer. Sample concentrations are interpolated from a four-parameter logistic standard curve generated in the same run. The procedure is suitable for trained immunoassay users in academic, clinical, and industrial research settings, and the complete run, excluding any optional overnight incubation, can be finished within a normal working day.

Unopened kit components should be stored refrigerated and protected from light until first use; reconstituted standards and working dilutions of conjugate should be aliquoted and frozen if they will not be consumed in the same session. Detailed component-level storage, reconstitution, and shelf-life information is supplied in the product insert that accompanies the kit.
