Human Zinc transporter 8 (SLC30A8) ELISA Kit

The target protein functions as a zinc-efflux transporter that facilitates the accumulation of zinc from the cytoplasm into intracellular vesicles, and may be a major component for providing zinc to insulin maturation and/or storage processes in insulin-secreting pancreatic beta-cells. It forms a homodimer and is localised to cell and secretory vesicle membranes, supporting research in metabolism, diabetes, zinc homeostasis, and insulin storage and secretion.
