Human Zinc finger E-box-binding homeobox 1 (ZEB1) ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of zinc finger E-box-binding homeobox 1 (ZEB1) in human samples, this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie employs a colorimetric detection method. The assay is reactive with human specimens and is intended for research use only. Acceptable sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human ZEB1.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.23 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.9% and inter-assay CV is 9.8%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 (N=5), with ranges of 107–117% to 101–112% for serum, 104–115% to 91–100% for EDTA plasma, and 103–113% to 91–102% for heparin plasma. Mean recovery is 110% (range 104–116%) in serum and 112% (range 106–118%) in plasma.

ZEB1 is a nuclear transcription factor that acts as a transcriptional repressor, inhibits interleukin-2 gene expression, and induces epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) by repressing the E-cadherin promoter, with relevance to cancer metastasis and other pathological processes.
