Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Zinc-alpha-2-glycoprotein (AZGP1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method, with a detection range of 1.56-100ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.39ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is reported at 4.3% and inter-assay precision at 6.4%.

AZGP1 is a secreted protein of the MHC class I family, also known by the synonyms Zn-alpha-2-GP, ZAG and ZNGP1. It participates in lipid metabolism, cell adhesion and immune response regulation, and stimulates lipid degradation in adipocytes. Dysregulation of AZGP1 has been implicated in cancer, obesity and insulin resistance, making it a biomarker of interest in cardiovascular research.
