Description

A sandwich-format ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of Zinc finger E-box-binding homeobox 2 (ZEB2) in human research samples. ZEB2 is a nuclear DNA-binding protein (UniProt O60315) that functions as a transcriptional repressor of E-cadherin via binding the DNA consensus 5'-CACCT-3', and it plays a central role in epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT).

Using TMB substrate development with absorbance read-out at 450 nm, the assay has a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Validated matrices include serum, EDTA plasma, heparin plasma, cell culture supernatant, and cell or tissue lysates. Across serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8, linearity for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma falls within 80–104%, and spike-recovery averages range from 91% to 95%.

Reagents are stable for 12 months at 2–8°C. The kit is intended for research use only and supports studies of EMT, cancer metastasis, fibrosis, and Mowat-Wilson syndrome, in which ZEB2 mutations are implicated.
