ZBTB7B is a zinc-finger and BTB-domain transcription factor widely studied in immunology for its role as the master regulator of CD4+ T-helper cell lineage commitment in the thymus. Also referenced in the literature as ThPOK, this protein has been linked to autoimmune disease models, inflammatory bowel disease, and the control of HIV-1 latency in resting CD4+ lymphocytes. The Assay Genie Human ZBTB7B ELISA Kit provides a quantitative immunoassay platform for measuring endogenous ZBTB7B protein in human research specimens, supporting studies in T-cell development, lymphocyte differentiation, and transcriptional regulation.

Built around a pre-coated microplate, the assay produces a colorimetric readout on a standard plate reader and each kit includes sufficient reagents for 96 individual determinations. The package contains recombinant ZBTB7B standard for standard curve generation, detection antibody, wash buffer, and substrate solution in separate vials. Component vials should be refrigerated upon arrival; the reconstituted standard can be aliquoted and frozen to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles during long-running studies, and brought to room temperature before each assay run.

Because ZBTB7B functions as a lineage-defining transcription factor rather than a secreted cytokine, the assay is most often applied to lysates from cell culture preparations of human lymphocytes and to tissue homogenates prepared from research biopsies. The kit is intended for in vitro research use only and complements orthogonal methods such as western blot, flow cytometry, and PCR-based expression profiling, giving laboratories a protein-level readout to pair with downstream chromatin studies at ZBTB7B target genes.
