YY1AP1 (YY1-Associated Protein 1), historically designated HCCA2, is a nuclear regulatory protein that binds the multifunctional Yin Yang 1 (YY1) transcription factor and modulates chromatin remodeling, DNA damage repair, and RNA polymerase II-dependent gene expression. This Assay Genie ELISA enables quantitative measurement of human YY1AP1 in clinical research specimens, supporting investigations into hepatocellular carcinoma progression, apoptotic signaling cascades, and tumor-suppressor network dynamics. The assay uses a human-specific capture antibody pre-coated onto the microplate, paired with biotinylated detection antibody and streptavidin-HRP conjugate to generate a chromogenic signal proportional to analyte concentration. Standard curves are generated from recombinant human YY1AP1 calibrators, allowing interpolation of unknown sample concentrations with no significant cross-reactivity observed with related YY1-binding partners.
