XRCC2 (X-Ray Repair Cross Complementing 2) is a key mediator of homologous recombination repair, the high-fidelity pathway used by cells to mend DNA double-strand breaks induced by replication stress, ionizing radiation, and chemotherapeutic agents. Quantifying circulating XRCC2 levels with the Assay Genie kit supports in vitro studies in DNA damage response, radiosensitivity profiling, and investigations of tumor suppressor function in breast, ovarian, and other solid-tumor research models. The assay uses a human-specific capture antibody pair, which minimizes cross-reactivity with rodent orthologs and makes it well suited for translational research using archived clinical biobank samples.
