Description

A high-quality sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the precise quantification of Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome protein (WAS) levels in human samples. The assay reacts with human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and detects both natural and recombinant human WAS protein (synonyms: WASp, IMD2). It delivers a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL with a sensitivity of 39.9pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.5% and an inter-assay CV of 8.2%.

Linearity has been verified in serum (84-113%), EDTA plasma (98-112%) and heparin plasma (96-117%) across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery averages 90% in serum (range 84-96%) and 92% in plasma (range 86-98%). WAS (UniProt P42768) is a cytoplasmic, cytoskeleton-localised effector of Rho-type GTPases that regulates actin filament reorganisation through its interaction with the Arp2/3 complex, with implications for lymphocyte and platelet function and immune signalling. Mutations in the WAS gene are associated with Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome.
