Human WAP Four Disulfide Core Domain Protein 5 (WFDC5) ELISA Kit

WFDC5 belongs to the whey acidic protein (WAP) four-disulfide core domain family of small secreted proteins that participate in mucosal innate immunity and epithelial defense. Members of this family carry a conserved eight-cysteine WAP motif stabilized by four intramolecular disulfide bridges, and several WFDC proteins have been studied as antiprotease and antimicrobial effectors expressed in the respiratory tract, salivary glands, and reproductive epithelia. This solid-phase ELISA from Assay Genie is configured as a 96-assay reagent set for measuring human WFDC5 in research samples. The plate uses a colorimetric readout compatible with standard microplate absorbance instrumentation.
