Human VRK1 (Serine/threonine-protein kinase VRK1) ELISA KIT (HUFI04799)

This Assay Genie kit enables quantitative measurement of endogenous VRK1 protein in human research samples. VRK1 is the founding member of the vaccinia-related kinase family and operates as an early effector in the DNA damage response, phosphorylating substrates including histone H3 (Thr3 and Ser10), NBS1, H2AX and BAF to coordinate chromatin remodeling, nuclear envelope assembly, and progression through G1/S and mitotic entry. Recessive mutations in VRK1 cause spinal muscular atrophy with pontocerebellar hypoplasia, and elevated VRK1 expression has been documented in head-and-neck, breast and lung carcinomas, supporting investigation of this kinase in neurodevelopmental disease models and oncology biomarker discovery. The reagents are supplied in a microplate format suitable for laboratory research use, and unopened components should be stored refrigerated to preserve activity.
