Human VLDL/Very low-density lipoprotein ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA, double antibody format from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) in research samples. The assay is reactive with human samples and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. A reported sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL support detection across that span.

Linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 is reported as 88–98%, 88–105% and 92–101% for serum (n = 5); 85–93%, 85–101% and 82–85% for EDTA plasma (n = 5); and 83–88%, 81–100% and 85–98% for heparin plasma (n = 5). Spike-recovery performance is reported as 93–105% with an average of 98% for serum (n = 5), 86–103% with an average of 93% for EDTA plasma (n = 5), and 88–101% with an average of 95% for heparin plasma (n = 5).

The protocol uses a pre-coated plate with primary incubation at 37 °C, a biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm. Reagents are stored at 2–8 °C for 12 months. The kit is positioned for research applications in metabolism, including studies of lipid metabolism and cardiovascular health.
