Description

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit uses a colorimetric, double-antibody format to quantitatively measure human Vitamin K epoxide reductase complex subunit 1 (VKORC1). It is reactive with human samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. VKOR is a key enzyme in the vitamin K cycle and is essential for normal blood clotting and bone metabolism.

Sensitivity is 46.875 pg/mL with a detection range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Linearity in serum (n=5) is 84-100%, 87-101% and 80-104% at the 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions respectively; EDTA plasma (n=5) spans 87-95%, 82-98% and 87-100%; and heparin plasma (n=5) spans 83-101%, 84-99% and 83-92%. Recovery averages 96% for serum (range 91-105%), 93% for EDTA plasma (range 85-105%) and 93% for heparin plasma (range 88-104%). Components are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Dysregulation of VKOR activity has been linked to thrombosis, osteoporosis and cardiovascular diseases, supporting research applications in these areas. Synonyms for the target include VKOR, VKORC1 and Vitamin K1 2,3-epoxide reductase subunit 1 (UniProt Q9BQB6).
