Human Vitronectin (VTN) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of vitronectin in human samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit shows specificity for both natural and recombinant human vitronectin and is intended for research use only.

Vitronectin is a secreted glycoprotein involved in cell adhesion, spreading and migration, and in the regulation of the complement system and coagulation pathways. Dysregulation of vitronectin has been associated with cancer, cardiovascular disorders and inflammatory conditions, supporting its value as a biomarker in immunology research. The target protein corresponds to UniProt entry P04004.

Manufacturer-reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 6.9pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 3.2% and inter-assay CV is 7.2%. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, with reported ranges spanning 81-114% across the sample types. Recovery averages 86% in serum (range 80-92%) and 88% in plasma (range 82-94%). Detection is colorimetric.
