Human Vitamin K-dependent protein C (PROC) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of human Vitamin K-dependent protein C (PROC) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The target is a vitamin K-dependent serine protease that regulates blood coagulation by inactivating factors Va and VIIIa, with dysregulation of its levels linked to thrombosis, coagulopathies and other clotting disorders. Synonyms recognised for this analyte include anticoagulant protein C, autoprothrombin IIA and blood coagulation factor XIV.

From Assay Genie, the kit uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method with reactivity for human samples. Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78-50 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.195 ng/mL, an Intra CV of 7.5% and an Inter CV of 10.8%. Specificity covers natural and recombinant human Vitamin K-dependent protein C. Recovery in serum averages 98% (range 92-104%) and in plasma averages 100% (range 94-106%).
