Human Vitamin D-binding protein (GC) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides this colorimetric Sandwich ELISA for the precise measurement of Vitamin D-binding protein (GC), also known as VDBP, Gc-globulin, or DBP, in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit is designated for research use only and targets a multifunctional plasma protein involved in vitamin D transport and storage, scavenging of extracellular G-actin, and enhancement of the chemotactic activity of C5 alpha for neutrophils in inflammation and macrophage activation.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.37ng/mL, intra-assay CV of 5.1% and inter-assay CV of 9.4%. Specificity is stated for natural and recombinant human Vitamin D-binding protein. Linearity has been evaluated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions. Recovery averages 98% (range 92-104%) for serum and 100% (range 94-106%) for plasma.
