Human Visfatin (VF) ELISA Kit

This Assay Genie ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of human visfatin in research samples. Visfatin is a 52 kDa adipocytokine also known as nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (NAMPT) and previously called pre-B cell colony-enhancing factor (PBEF), primarily secreted by visceral adipose tissue. The protein plays a central role in nicotinamide metabolism and the NAD+ salvage pathway, and circulating visfatin has been studied as a candidate biomarker in obesity, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, atherosclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and several solid tumors. The kit is supplied with reagents for 96 individual determinations and is intended for research use only. Sample handling guidance follows standard practices for adipokine research, including collection in tubes appropriate for downstream immunoassay and refrigerated short-term storage before the assay run.
