Human Visfatin ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the precise measurement of visfatin in human samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Using a colorimetric detection method with a double-antibody sandwich format on a pre-coated plate, the kit offers high sensitivity and specificity. Visfatin, also known as nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (NAMPT), is a key protein involved in metabolic regulation and inflammation, and is implicated in conditions such as diabetes, obesity, and inflammatory disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for related research.

The workflow involves incubating standards and samples at 37°C for 90 minutes to allow antigen binding, followed by a 60-minute incubation with a biotin-labeled detection antibody. After a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding step, TMB substrate is added and the plate is incubated in the dark for 10–20 minutes. Stop solution is then added and absorbance is read immediately at 450 nm.

Reported sensitivity is 0.188 ng/mL, with a standard curve range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Recovery averages 90% (range 85–102%) in serum, 97% (96–102%) in EDTA plasma, and 98% (85–100%) in heparin plasma. Linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 86–96%, 85–97% and 90–98% in serum, 83–97% / 86–103% / 97–104% in EDTA plasma, and 83–97% / 87–99% / 94–105% in heparin plasma. The kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months and is intended for Cell Biology research applications.
