Description

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the detection of Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide Receptor 1 (VIPR1) in human samples, including serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. VIPR1 is a receptor that mediates the effects of vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP), a neuropeptide with diverse physiological functions including regulating smooth muscle relaxation, neurotransmission, and immune response. Dysregulation of VIPR1 signaling has been implicated in inflammatory disorders, neurological conditions, and gastrointestinal diseases, making the receptor a valuable target for research and therapeutic investigation.

The assay provides a working range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.045ng/mL. Spiked-sample recovery rates were: Serum (n=5) 80-102% (average 91%); EDTA plasma (n=5) 81-100% (average 90%); Heparin plasma (n=5) 80-89% (average 84%). Linearity was demonstrated across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma matrices. Intra-assay precision showed CV <10% and inter-assay precision showed CV <12%. Stability testing indicated a loss of activity of less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage conditions. For research use only.
