Human VIP (Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide) ELISA Kit (HUES03058)

A Competitive ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the precise measurement of Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide (VIP) levels in human samples including serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants, as well as other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method with a sensitivity of 4.69 pg/mL and a detection range of 7.81–500 pg/mL. Total assay time is 2 hours 30 minutes, with a recommended sample volume of 50 μL and recovery reported at 80%–120%.

VIP is a neuropeptide that plays a critical role in regulating smooth muscle relaxation, immune response modulation, and hormone secretion. Dysregulation of VIP has been linked to inflammation, autoimmune diseases, and neurological disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for cancer and neuroscience research. The kit recognizes Human VIP (UniProt P01282) with no significant cross-reactivity or interference observed between Human VIP and analogues. Storage is at 2–8°C.

Precision data show intra-assay CVs of 5.57%, 4.72% and 6.86% (n=20) and inter-assay CVs of 7.29%, 8.25% and 7.63% across three sample levels. Linearity was demonstrated in serum, EDTA plasma, and cell culture media at dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, with recovery ranges of 90–103% for EDTA plasma and 86–102% for cell culture media.
