Human Vinculin (VCL) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Vinculin (VCL), also referenced by the synonyms Metavinculin and MV. The assay is reactive with human samples and is intended for research use only.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 1.56–100 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.78 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is reported at 4.6% and inter-assay CV at 7.6%. Linearity has been validated in serum (92–114% across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions), EDTA plasma (85–123%) and heparin plasma (91–108%). Recovery averages 96% in serum (range 90–102%) and 98% in plasma (range 92–104%).

Acceptable sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human Vinculin (UniProt P18206). Vinculin is an actin filament-binding protein involved in cell-matrix and cell-cell adhesion, regulation of E-cadherin expression and mechanosensing, with relevance to cardiovascular research and conditions such as dilated cardiomyopathy.
