Human VIM (Vimentin) CLIA Kit (HUES00642)

From Assay Genie, this chemiluminescence immunoassay kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of Human VIM (Vimentin) in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The kit uses a sandwich-CLIA principle in which a microplate is pre-coated with antibody specific to Human VIM. Standards or samples are added to the wells, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate. After incubation and washing, a substrate solution is added and the relative light unit (RLU) value is measured by a chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is positively associated with Human VIM concentration, allowing quantification by comparison to a standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is 37.5 pg/mL with a detection range of 62.5-4000 pg/mL. The assay uses a sample volume of 100 μL and a total assay time of 4.5h. Vimentin is described as a key intermediate filament protein involved in maintaining cell structure and function, with roles in cell migration, adhesion, and signaling, making it a biomarker of interest in studies of cancer, wound healing, and inflammation. The kit shows no significant cross-reactivity or interference between Human VIM and analogues, and both intra-CV and inter-CV are reported as less than 15%.
