Human VILIP1/VSNL1 ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human VILIP-1 (Visinin-Like Protein 1, also known as VSNL1) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, and has a stated sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL across a working range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL.

VILIP-1 is a calcium sensor protein involved in neuronal function and synaptic plasticity, and its dysregulation has been linked to neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease and epilepsy. Reported linearity values span 88–101% for serum (n=5), 81–100% for EDTA plasma (n=5), and 82–101% for heparin plasma (n=5) across 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions. Mean recoveries are 92% in serum and EDTA plasma and 96% in heparin plasma (n=5). Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

The assay follows a six-step procedure: reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin incubation for 30 minutes, TMB substrate colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution addition.
