Human Very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) ELISA Kit

Designed for the precise measurement of Very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) levels in human samples, this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is intended for research use only. The assay is reactive with human samples and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and recognizes both natural and recombinant human VLDL.

VLDL is a lipoprotein produced by the liver that transports endogenous triglycerides and cholesterol in the bloodstream and is converted in the bloodstream to low-density lipoprotein (LDL). VLDL particles have a diameter of 30–80 nm, and abnormal VLDL levels are associated with obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease, making the protein a useful biomarker for related research.

The assay provides a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.23 ng/mL. Reported precision is 4.7% intra-assay CV and 7.6% inter-assay CV. Spike-and-recovery testing returned an average of 103% (range 97–109%) in serum and 105% (range 99–111%) in plasma. Key components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, sample and assay diluents, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, substrate, stop solution and plate sealer, with storage temperatures specified per component.
