Human VEGF ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The double-antibody assay uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody and an HRP-streptavidin conjugate, with signal developed using a TMB substrate and read at 450 nm after a stop solution is added.

The kit has a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a working range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. Unopened reagents are stored at 2–8°C and remain stable for 12 months under those conditions. Linearity has been validated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma, with dilutional recoveries generally between 80% and 105%. Spike-and-recovery across the same matrices ranges from approximately 85–105%, with average recoveries between 94% and 100% depending on sample type.

VEGF is a key mediator of angiogenesis and a regulator of cell growth and survival, and its dysregulation has been implicated in cancer, cardiovascular conditions, and inflammatory disorders. Researchers can use this kit to quantify VEGF levels in human samples to investigate disease mechanisms and explore angiogenesis-related processes.
