Human VEGF-D/Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor D ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor-D (VEGF-D), this colorimetric Sandwich ELISA kit relies on a pre-coated microplate and a biotin-labelled detection antibody followed by HRP-Streptavidin binding. Colour development with TMB substrate is read at 450 nm, with absorbance directly proportional to VEGF-D concentration in the sample. The assay is reactive with human samples and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

VEGF-D is implicated in angiogenesis and the regulation of cell growth, and is of research interest in cancer, cardiovascular disease, and neurodegenerative disorders. Validated linearity has been demonstrated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 for serum (87–105%, 85–105%, 92–104%), EDTA plasma (86–99%, 83–99%, 87–100%), and heparin plasma (89–100%, 85–98%, 83–99%). Spike-and-recovery performance has been reported as 85–104% (average 93%) in serum, 93–99% (average 97%) in EDTA plasma, and 86–103% (average 97%) in heparin plasma. The assay offers a detection range of 62.5–4000 pg/mL with a sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL.

Components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, concentrated biotin-labelled antibody, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, sample dilution buffer, antibody dilution buffer, SABC dilution buffer, stop solution, concentrated wash buffer, plate sealers, and a technical manual. Unopened components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months, with the microplate and standard also suitable for 12-month storage at −20°C. VEGF-D is also referred to as FIGF and c-fos induced growth factor.
