Human VDR/Vitamin D Receptor ELISA Kit

A reliable colorimetric sandwich ELISA for quantitative detection of human Vitamin D Receptor (VDR) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit from Assay Genie is intended for research use and provides a tool for studying VDR, a key protein mediating vitamin D's biological effects on calcium homeostasis, immune function, and cell growth regulation, with relevance to osteoporosis, autoimmune disorders, and certain cancers.

Performance characteristics reported by the manufacturer include a sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL and a working range of 0.625–40 ng/mL. Linearity in spiked serum (n=5) is 88–105% at 1:2, 86–102% at 1:4, and 87–100% at 1:8; in EDTA plasma (n=5) 83–91%, 87–101%, and 84–98%; and in heparin plasma (n=5) 83–100%, 83–99%, and 82–94%. Spike-and-recovery averages are 99% in serum, 92% in EDTA plasma, and 99% in heparin plasma. The assay uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody with HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm after a stop reaction. Reagents should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.
