Description

Assay Genie's Human VASP (Vasodilator-Stimulated Phosphoprotein) ELISA Kit is a Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody assay designed for quantitative measurement of VASP in human samples. The kit uses a colorimetric detection method and is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. VASP is described as an actin-associated regulatory protein involved in cytoskeletal dynamics, cell motility, migration, and adhesion, with research relevance to cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and neurological conditions.

The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions is given as: serum (n=5) 87–105%, 87–96%, 84–96%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 85–105%, 82–95%, 83–100%; heparin plasma (n=5) 88–99%, 88–98%, 84–99%. Recovery averages are 97% for serum (range 86–103%), 98% for EDTA plasma (range 91–103%), and 92% for heparin plasma (range 89–97%).

The procedure follows six steps: equilibrate reagents and the pre-coated plate; primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes; biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes; HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) incubation at 37°C for 30 minutes; TMB substrate colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes; and stop reaction with absorbance reading at 450 nm. Sample preparation guidance is provided for serum, plasma, tissue homogenate, cell culture supernatant, and cell lysate.
