The assay uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method and is reactive with human samples, validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.16 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.3%, and an inter-assay CV of 9.6%. The kit recognises natural and recombinant human Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 3 (UniProt P35916). Linearity has been demonstrated in serum (for example 107-117% at a 1:2 dilution, 103-112% at 1:4), EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16.
