Human Vascular endothelial growth factor C (VEGFC) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit uses a colorimetric method and is designed for the detection of human Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor C (VEGFC) in research samples. VEGFC, also known by synonyms including Flt4 ligand, Vascular endothelial growth factor-related protein, Flt4-L, VRP and VEGF-C, is a growth factor active in angiogenesis and endothelial cell growth, stimulating their proliferation and migration and influencing the permeability of blood vessels. The kit is for research use only.

The assay has a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.056ng/mL. Reported precision values are 6.3% intra-assay CV and 10.6% inter-assay CV. Recovery in serum averages 104% (range 98-110%) and in plasma averages 106% (range 100-112%). Linearity has been evaluated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma dilutions.

Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Specificity has been demonstrated for natural and recombinant human VEGFC. The kit is suited to research areas including cancer. VEGFC binds and activates VEGFR-2 (KDR/FLK1) and VEGFR-3 (FLT4) receptors and is secreted as a homodimer.
