Human Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor 145 (VEGF145) ELISA Kit

The Human VEGF145 ELISA Kit from Assay Genie quantitatively measures the VEGF145 isoform, a relatively rare splice variant of vascular endothelial growth factor A first characterized in human tumor cell lines. The microplate is pre-coated with a capture antibody selective for human VEGF145, and a biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, and recombinant standards are provided for isoform-specific quantification from serum or plasma preparations, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and cell culture supernatants. Absorbance is measured after TMB substrate addition, and concentrations are interpolated from a standard curve run on each plate.

VEGF145 is one of several VEGF-A splice variants (alongside VEGF121 and VEGF165), and isoform-selective measurement supports research into tumor angiogenesis, wound healing, and signaling pathway studies where VEGF isoform balance may be biologically meaningful. Standards and detection antibody should be aliquoted upon receipt and stored frozen at -20 degrees C to limit freeze-thaw loss; the microplate and remaining buffers remain stable refrigerated for several months.
