Human Vascular cell adhesion protein 1 (VCAM1) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of Human Vascular Cell Adhesion Protein-1 (VCAM1), also known by the synonyms INCAM-100, CD106, and V-CAM 1. The assay is intended for use with human samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is reactive with human VCAM1 only. Specificity has been demonstrated against both natural and recombinant human Vascular cell adhesion protein 1.

The kit delivers a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.039ng/mL. Precision is reported as an intra-assay CV of 5.1% and an inter-assay CV of 10.2%. Linearity has been validated across serum (N=5), EDTA plasma (N=5) and heparin plasma (N=5) at dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Recovery is reported at an average of 100% (range 94-106%) for serum and 102% (range 96-108%) for plasma.

VCAM1 is a type I membrane protein (UniProt P19320) that plays a role in leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion by interacting with integrin alpha-4/beta-1 (ITGA4/ITGB1), mediating both adhesion and signal transduction in immune responses and in leukocyte emigration to sites of inflammation. The kit is intended for research use only within the cardiovascular research area and is not supplied for diagnostic applications.
