Human VAP-1 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this sandwich (double antibody) ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of Vascular Adhesion Protein-1 (VAP-1), also known as AOC3 or membrane primary amine oxidase, in human samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. Detection relies on a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin and a TMB colorimetric substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm using a standard microplate reader. The kit also includes validated Bradford Reagent for total protein quantitation and sample normalization.

Key performance specifications include a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and an assay range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. In-house validation in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma showed linearity of 80–105% across 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions and average recovery of 93–96%. VAP-1 is a membrane-bound adhesion molecule involved in leukocyte adhesion and transmigration, supporting research applications in inflammation, immune regulation, autoimmune diseases and vascular disorders.
