The Assay Genie Human VAMP2 ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of vesicle-associated membrane protein 2 (VAMP2, also called synaptobrevin-2), a key SNARE protein that mediates vesicle fusion and neurotransmitter release at presynaptic nerve terminals. Because VAMP2 is implicated in research on synaptic transmission, neurodegenerative disease mechanisms, and insulin granule exocytosis in pancreatic beta cells, the kit is relevant across neuroscience, diabetes, and cell biology workflows. The microplate-based colorimetric workflow requires 100 μL of sample per well and supports quantification from human blood-derived research specimens, and each kit provides reagents sufficient for 96 determinations, including pre-coated wells, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, calibrated standards, and wash buffer. Reconstituted standards should be aliquoted and stored frozen at -20°C to limit freeze-thaw cycles, while the sealed microplate is kept refrigerated at 2-8°C and protected from light to preserve antibody binding activity.
