Human Utrophin (UTRN) ELISA Kit

A colourimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of human utrophin (UTRN). The assay has a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.29ng/mL, with intra-assay CV of 5.1% and inter-assay CV of 7.3%. It shows specificity for natural and recombinant human utrophin, and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Recovery is 94% (88-100%) for serum and 96% (90-102%) for plasma.

Utrophin is a critical protein that plays a key role in muscle development and regeneration, and is considered a potential therapeutic target for treating muscular dystrophy. It shares structural and functional similarities with dystrophin, is located at the neuromuscular synapse and myotendinous junctions, and participates in post-synaptic membrane maintenance and acetylcholine receptor clustering.
