Linearity was tested across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 in serum (99-108% to 103-106%), EDTA plasma (98-106% to 96-107%) and heparin plasma (95-109% to 99-106%) (S1). Mean recovery is 104% for serum (range 101-110%) and 102% for plasma (range 98-105%) (S1). The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human Urotensin-2B, and the analyte is described as a potent vasoconstrictor (S1).
