Human UROS ELISA Kit (HUFI05780)

The Human UROS ELISA Kit from Assay Genie targets Uroporphyrinogen III Synthase, the cytosolic enzyme responsible for cyclizing hydroxymethylbilane into uroporphyrinogen III during the heme biosynthesis pathway. Because biallelic loss-of-function mutations in UROS cause Congenital Erythropoietic Porphyria (CEP), the assay supports research into porphyria pathogenesis, erythroid heme metabolism, and the regulation of porphyrin intermediates. The capture antibodies are raised against recombinant human UROS and validated to detect the human isoform with no significant cross-reactivity to murine or rat uroporphyrinogen III synthase. The kit is supplied as a 96-well microplate with pre-coated wells, calibrated standards, detection antibody, and substrate buffer. Unopened components should be refrigerated at 4 degrees C; reconstituted standards should be aliquoted and frozen at -20 degrees C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
