Human Urocortin (UCN) ELISA Kit

Designed for the precise quantification of urocortin levels in human biological samples, this Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie uses a colorimetric detection method and is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. Urocortin is described as a vital peptide hormone involved in stress response regulation, cardiovascular function, and overall homeostasis, and its dysregulation has been associated with anxiety disorders, heart disease, and inflammatory conditions.

The assay delivers a detection range of 15.6–1000 pg/mL with a sensitivity of 10 pg/mL. Reported performance includes an intra-assay CV of 3.6% and an inter-assay CV of 5.8%. Mean recovery is 99% in serum (range 93–105%) and 101% in plasma (range 95–107%). Linearity has been verified across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, and specificity is established for natural and recombinant human urocortin.
