Human Urocortin-2 (UCN2) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the quantitative measurement of human Urocortin-2 (UCN2), also known as stresscopin-related peptide, urocortin II or SRP, in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. Urocortin-2 is a secreted neuropeptide of the sauvagine/corticotropin-releasing factor/urotensin I family that is reported to suppress food intake, delay gastric emptying and decrease heat-induced oedema, and may represent an endogenous ligand for maintaining homeostasis after stress. The assay specifically detects natural and recombinant human Urocortin-2, with a reported sensitivity of 12pg/mL and a detection range of 31.2-2000pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 3.8% and inter-assay CV is 6.9%. Linearity has been demonstrated in serial dilutions of serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, and recovery averages 101% in serum (range 95-107%) and 103% in plasma (range 97-109%).
