Human UROC1 ELISA Kit (HUFI05778)

Urocanase (UROC1) is the enzyme that converts urocanate to 4-imidazolone-5-propionate within the histidine degradation pathway. Reduced activity of this liver- and kidney-expressed protein has been associated with urocanic aciduria and other inborn errors of metabolism, making urocanase a useful marker in studies of amino-acid catabolism and hepatic metabolic disease. The Assay Genie UROC1 ELISA Kit provides quantitative measurement of human UROC1 in research specimens using an absorbance-based immunoassay format.

Each kit is supplied in a 96 Assays configuration containing a pre-coated microplate, calibrator standards, detection antibody, conjugate, substrate solution, wash buffer, and the consumables needed for plate setup and signal generation. The workflow follows standard incubation, washing, and signal-development steps, and UROC1 concentration in each sample is interpolated from a standard curve generated on the same plate.

Intended for research use only, the assay accommodates serum or plasma specimens collected under standard operating protocols, as well as cell-culture supernatants and tissue-lysate preparations from recombinant expression work. The strip-style microplate layout supports partial-plate runs alongside matched control wells, and reconstituted reagents should be kept refrigerated between uses to preserve activity across multiple working sessions.
