Up-Frameshift Suppressor 3 Homolog A (UPF3A) is a core effector of the nonsense-mediated mRNA decay pathway, where it contributes to post-transcriptional gene regulation and surveillance of transcripts carrying premature termination codons. The Assay Genie Human UPF3A ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of UPF3A in human serum or plasma samples using a microplate-based immunoassay format.
Researchers apply this assay in studies of mRNA quality control, oncogenic signaling, neural differentiation, and stress-response biology, where UPF3A expression modulates developmental gene expression programs. The kit supports translational research on diseases linked to NMD dysregulation, including certain hematological malignancies, neurodevelopmental disorders, and tumor-progression pathways.
Each kit contains a pre-coated microplate, assay buffers, detection reagents, and a standard curve for interpolating UPF3A concentrations from unknown samples. Unopened kits should be stored refrigerated; reconstituted standards and individual reagents are stored frozen at -20°C per the supplied protocol. The assay is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or clinical decision-making. Results are read on a standard microplate reader.
