The Assay Genie UCP2 immunoassay kit enables quantitative measurement of human Uncoupling Protein 2 across 96 assays and is calibrated for tissue homogenate preparations. UCP2 is a mitochondrial inner-membrane transporter that mediates proton leak and modulates reactive oxygen species output, and it is a frequent biomarker in metabolic disease research, including obesity, type 2 diabetes, insulin secretion studies, and investigations of brown-adipose-like thermogenic regulation. Each kit contains reagents sufficient for 96 individual determinations, and the assay readout is generated colorimetrically using a standard microplate reader, with curve fitting performed against the included reference standards.
