Description

Designed by Assay Genie for research use, this Sandwich-format kit is intended for the quantitative measurement of Uncharacterized protein KIAA1377 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The target is also referred to as centrosomal protein of 126 kDa (CEP126), with UniProt accession Q9P2H0. Detection is by colorimetric ELISA, with reported specificity for natural and recombinant human Uncharacterized protein KIAA1377.

Validated performance includes a detection range of 7.8-500 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 1.6 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.7% and an inter-assay CV of 8.3%. Linearity has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 (N=5 per matrix), with recovery averaging 104% in serum (range 98-110%) and 106% in plasma (range 100-112%). According to the cited UniProt entry, CEP126 may participate in cytokinesis and is localised to the centrosome and midbody, with roles in cytoplasmic microtubule organisation and biogenesis as well as mitotic spindle organisation and biogenesis.
