Human UNC13C ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is intended for the precise quantification of human Protein unc-13 homolog C (UNC13C), also referred to as Munc13-3, by colorimetric detection. It is reactive with human samples including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and shows specificity for natural and recombinant UNC13C. The kit is for research use only.

Reported performance figures include a detection range of 6.25–400 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 1.56 pg/mL. Intra-assay precision is 5.1% CV and inter-assay precision is 8.3% CV. Linearity has been demonstrated for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilution factors of 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery averages 97% (range 91–103%) for serum and 99% (range 93–105%) for plasma.

UNC13C is a member of the unc-13 family and may play a role in vesicle maturation during exocytosis as a target of the diacylglycerol second messenger pathway, and is implicated in the regulation of synaptic transmission at parallel fiber–Purkinje cell synapses. Its dysregulation has been linked to neurological disorders such as epilepsy and autism, making the protein a useful biomarker for research into these conditions and synaptic function. The protein has a reported molecular weight of 250,911 Da and the corresponding gene maps to chromosomal region 15q21.3.
