The ULBP-3 (UL16-binding protein 3) PharmaGenie immunoassay from Assay Genie is built for quantitative measurement of this NKG2D ligand in human research samples. ULBP-3 is a stress-induced cell surface glycoprotein that engages the activating receptor NKG2D on natural killer cells and cytotoxic CD8+ T lymphocytes, and accurate quantification of its soluble shed form is valuable in tumor immunology, viral pathogenesis, and transplantation research.

This microplate-format kit is configured for 96 assays per run and accommodates cell culture supernatant, plasma, and serum sample matrices, each listed in the validated protocol. Each plate is supplied with pre-coated capture antibody, biotinylated detection reagent, recombinant protein standard, and substrate components sufficient to generate a full standard curve alongside internal assay controls.

Researchers studying immune evasion in solid tumors, cytomegalovirus or hepatitis infection models, or NKG2D ligand shedding into peripheral circulation will find this kit applicable to longitudinal serum studies, conditioned media analysis from tumor-immune cell co-culture experiments, and in vitro stimulation assays of primary NK cells. The absorbance-based readout is compatible with standard microplate readers commonly available in immunology and cell biology core facilities.

Reagents should be handled per the accompanying protocol; kit components are refrigerated between uses to preserve antibody binding activity and reconstituted standard stability. The product is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic procedures or clinical decision-making.
