Human UCN/Urocortin ELISA Kit

A sandwich-format, double-antibody ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of Urocortin in human research samples. The assay uses colorimetric detection and targets UCN, a neuropeptide associated with the regulation of stress responses, cardiovascular function, and inflammation. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit is stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months.

Performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. The procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after stop solution addition. Reported linearity in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions ranges from 80% to 105%. Recovery across the same matrices falls between 88% and 103%, with averages of 96% (serum), 95% (EDTA plasma), and 93% (heparin plasma).
