Human UCH-L1/PGP9.5 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS1212)

Quantitative measurement of Ubiquitin C-Terminal Hydrolase L1 (UCH-L1), the neuronal deubiquitinating enzyme also known as PGP9.5, is supported by this PharmaGenie ELISA kit from Assay Genie. UCH-L1 is a ~25 kDa protein highly expressed in neurons, where it cleaves ubiquitin from polyubiquitinated substrates to maintain proteasomal turnover. Following neuronal injury, UCH-L1 is released into the extracellular space and circulation, which has established it as a circulating biomarker for traumatic brain injury (TBI), ischemic stroke, and chronic neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson's disease.

Configured for 96 assays per kit, the assay uses a colorimetric readout on standard microplate readers. It is validated for human UCH-L1 detection and accepts cell culture supernatant input. Plasma-derived and serum-derived samples are also compatible specimen types, making the kit appropriate for in vitro neuronal model studies, clinical biobank screening, and translational neuroscience workflows.
